The Ergobaby Lift Hip Seat Carrier is primarily designed for babies 6 months and older, once babies have strong head and neck control. (min. 17 lbs / 7.7 kg) However, it can also be used in a recline mode to provide feeding support from the newborn phase. Since it is not a hands-free carrier, ensure your baby is securely supported in all positions by keeping at least one hand on them.

Ergobaby Hip Seat baby carrier is machine washable. Make sure to remove the foam seat base and to fasten all hook and loop fasteners and buckles before washing. Use mild detergent free of bleach, perfumes, dyes, chlorine, or optical brighteners and dry flat or hang/line dry.

Ergobaby baby carriers can be used during pregnancy and are especially beneficial when you're reaching a point where there's limited room for front-carrying. You can opt for the hip carry position or fasten the waistband below your belly in front carry mode. However, it's important to note that during pregnancy, your body may experience increased fatigue, so pay close attention to your body's cues when babywearing.
